Our newest documentary, Un Buen Carnicero (A Good Butcher), goes behind the courtesies of the butcher’s counter at Cliff’s Meat Market in Carrboro, N.C., on the eve of Independence Day to explore the complex realities of immigrant life. This bilingual short film, produced in partnership with the Southern Foodways Alliance, celebrates a unique, small town institution with an ever evolving clientele and butcher staffAs owner Cliff Collins says, “Getcha a fifth for the fourth on the third.”
